Daniel Ray Hough, age 71, of Noble, passed away at 12:25 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Aperion Care in Olney.

Private family graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Noble Prairie Cemetery in Noble. Pastor Doyle Williams will be officiating.

Daniel was born on September 23, 1948, in Noble, the son of Glen and Cora (McClure) Hough. He later married Paulette ‘Paula’ Leib on July 3, 1969 in Olney. She survives.

He was in the United States Army during the Vietnam War a as SPC 4. He was Christian by faith. He worked in the oil field for many years. He was a past commander of the Olney VFW. He was a member of the Lawrenceville VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing when he was younger. He was a man of few words. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Daniel is survived by his wife Paulette ‘Paula’ Hough of Noble; daughter Shelly Barthelemy (Chad) of Noble; 2 brothers Gene Hough of Oklahoma and Roger Hough (Diane) of Effingham; 2 sisters Sandy Herman (Bud) of Claremont and Cathy Wilson (Don) of Olney; 4 grandchildren Mercedes Harmon, Brandon Barthelemy, Dakota Reed (Erika) and Dylan Reed; and great-daughter Payton Richards.

He is preceded in death by his parents Glen and Cora Hough, daughter Christy Reed and brother Jim Hough.
